With great sadness we announce the unexpected passing of Dave Greco—our treasured missionary, leader and friend. Dave entered eternity on Tuesday evening, October 12.

“Dave Greco was an incredible missionary leader and personal friend,” says AGWM Executive Director Greg Mundis. “I had great respect for him and his ministry. Dave’s work with Ethnic Fellowships in the United States demonstrated his remarkable passion and integrity. His loss will be felt deeply across our Fellowship. The Greco family is in our prayers.”

We do ask for an outpouring of committed prayer for Dave’s wife, Cheryl, and their children Dan (wife Anna), Jen (husband R.J. Tate) and Melanie (husband Noah Lane) and grandchildren in the challenging days ahead. We pray and believe that the God who does all things well will bring them comfort and strong faith.

Dave served as team leader for ethnic networking for AGWM Partnership Development. In his role, Dave partnered with 33 Language Districts and Ethnic Fellowships in the U.S. Assemblies of God, with the goal of sending and supporting missionaries from ethnic communities into all the world. Dave earned tremendous love and respect and paved the way for strong, healthy relationships both interculturally and internationally.

In the recent season, Dave was advancing AGWM’s heart within Ethnic Fellowships across the United States, making it possible for more and more people to answer Jesus’ missionary call upon their lives. He had a unique ability to establish relationships and build trust.

Dave’s passing is a tremendous loss to AGWM. He loved the people of Mexico, and he loved the missionaries he worked alongside and had the honor of leading.

Prior to his present role with AGWM Partnership Development and Mobilization, Dave ministered for nearly four decades, including as leader of Hispanic Ministry Partnerships, AGWM area director of Mexico, a missionary, a district missions leader within the New Jersey Assemblies of God, and a pastor.

In a recent communication, Dave stated, “We are praying for God’s presence to be with you, His protection to be over you, and that He would give you an opportunity to let His light shine through you like never before. We know that God will work through us, work through you, and then together, we will allow His light to shine.”

Now in turn we are praying for Dave’s family during this difficult time. May God be with them.
