Quick Start Guide

Sign up using the form on this site:

An email immediately to acknowledge receipt of the signup.
Within 48 hours, you will receive an email with sign-in credentials (Username and Password) from the Hub administrator.

After you have received the credentials:

Designate the single computer that will access the Hub.
Go to the Media Hub website:

Sign in to the Hub with the Username and Password provided by the Hub administrator at AGWM Communications.
View and download desired content

Only one computer at a time can be locked to the Hub resources:

If you need to change the single computer that is locked to the Hub or request for an additional hub account for other computer in church, fill out the support form on this site.

Suggestions for choosing your Hub Users and Computers:
  • For the Hub administrator, choose someone who is knowledgable about computers and software, computer files, and videos. Someone who will be accessible for planning of the Hub use.

  • Up-to-date Macintosh and Windows computers and browsers are adequate for interacting with the Hub.

  • Once the Hub computer and browser are selected for any of the accounts, going to the Media Hub will automatically sign the user in. Your Hub Administrator would need to brief any other users of the Hub on its use on the single computer/browser combination that is locked to the hub.

  • Sensitive videos can only be shown from the Hub interface, so you might wish to add a second account in the main sanctuary projection computer.

Notice: Any time you change computer, browser or delete browser's cookie, the Media Hub will no longer remember your computer and you will need to contact support to have your hub account reset.

Lobby Media Guide

Single Screen Show:
  • Purchase a digital media player (we tested this one around $40, click to view).
  • A standard HDMI cable
  • Any HD Television (1080p or 720p)
  • Any USB thumb drive, or SD Card large enough to hold the media (16 GB will serve well into the future)
  • Lobby Media Show Single-Screen videos from AGWM (available in the Media Hub)
  • You can play one or all the videos once, or loop them for continuous play.
  • Alternate Instructions for Single Screen Show:
  • You might already have a computer that would serve your purpose.
Alternate Instructions for Single Screen Show:

(If you prefer to use a computer as the media player)

  • You will need Windows 7 or better, Mac OSX 10.7 or better.
  • Use the VLC Player to play single or multiple videos in sequence.
  • Download VLC Media Player for Mac, Windows, or Linux.
  • You must set the VLC Media player to full screen and loop the video for automatic repeat.
  • If you have any questions get a competent local computer user to help.
Three-Screen Show:

In addition to the instructions above for a single-screen show, the 3-screen show may require additional hardware.

  • Using a recent Macintosh with a Thunderbolt or Mini DV port (a Mac Mini will do fine), use something like the Matrox TripleHead2Go DP Edition (click to view) video device to display on 3 HD (either 720p or 1080p) televisions.
  • Or, if you prefer, you may use an Intel i5 Windows computer with a video card that has at least 3 video ports or a Mini DV port like the Mac Mini using a Matrox TripleHead2Go.
  • Make sure your video card has enough capacity to serve the videos. AGWM has no recommendation at this point, since the wide variety of default video and video cards can't be specified or supported from here.
  • You will need the correct cables and adapters for Mac and Windows setups, and * Windows 7 to 10 is required for the Intel i5 setup.
  • If you have any questions or issues, you might need to contact a local computer systems integrator.

NOTE: The Lobby Media Shows intentionally do not use a sound track.

About the VLC Player
  • Get the VLC Player for your operating system.
  • VLC User Documentation. The VLC Player follows standard user interface guidelines, so it is unlikely you will need more than a few minutes playing with it to figure out how to use it.
  • The free VLC player is capable of playing all your videos, including the videos provided for the Lobby Media Show.
  • Videos can be played from either the Playlist or the Media Library one at a time or one after another. They can be played over and over by setting the videos to loop.
  • The difference between the Media Library and the Playlist is that anything in the Playlist is removed if the program is quit and restarted. Everything in the Media Library is remembered by the program.
General Suggestions for the Lobby Media Show
  • It is not necessary for the Lobby Media Show to have an online connection. Videos may be moved to the media player or computer by USB drive if you wish.
  • If the computer does have an online connection, you should remember to do all the standard updates and maintenance tasks as with any other computer on a regular basis.
  • Since there is no sound in any of the videos, the Lobby Media Show is suitable for display during other activities. You may also play a background track of your own choosing using another media player while the videos play.
  • Feel free to use any or all of the available videos (found on the AGWM Media Hub) one at a time or all at once. You may also use the other downloadable videos found on the Hub, but remember they have audio tracks.
